The Society

The BCRS was incorporated in 1990 under the Society’s Act, although it was functioning as a non-profit organization to represent the interests of patients and radiologists in British Columbia well before that time.

Purpose

The BCRS supports its membership to advance the art and science of radiology within the province. Specifically, the BCRS promotes the:

  • Highest quality of delivery of radiological services.
  • Ethical and educational standards of the profession.
  • Occupational welfare and interests of all practicing radiologists.

Core Business

The core business of the BCRS is to serve the identified needs of their membership in pursuit of optimizing patient care in British Columbia. This translates directly into 3 core services:
