BCRS Leverages New Microallocation Processes
The recent ratified agreement between the BCMA and Ministry of Health has directed $45M over two years to Specialist Services to be disbursed through the Specialist Services Committee (SSC). NEW Teleradiology Standards for British Columbia
The BCRS Teleradiology Working recently completed the development of Standards for Teleradiology in BC. This draft has been forwarded to the College of Physicians & Surgeons, the DAP, and the Ministry of Health for review and comment. It is anticipated that these Standards will be discussed and brought to final at the November AGM.

NEW Billing Guidelines for MRI and CT (draft)
After much negotiation, billing guidelines for MRI have been developed and approved by the BCMA, government and the Section of Radiology. This will allow for uniform billing practices (and fees) across the province. This document for billing of the MRI fee is set out in Appendix F, Section 1.2(d) of the Physician Master Agreement. . R

The BCRS CT Taskforce has taken on the limited CT fee schedule and has developed a draft for billing a variety of CT studies. These guidelines are under review and we hope to ratify them at the AGM in November.
